Strive Theatre are delighted to be partnering with Civic Trust House and researcher Victoria Kingston on The Civic Trust House Heritage Project. This research-led project, funded by The Heritage Council, aims to animate the history of 50 Popes Quay and its immediate surroundings by devising a series of monologues based on the lives of previous residents’ of the house. The time period spans from the 1700s through to the modern day, where the house has been ever-present throughout the rich and fascinating history of the Popes’ Quay area.
For the project we are seeking actors of the following profile;
Young male - Aged 22 - 28
Young female - Aged 22 - 28
Female - Mid 30’s
Male - Late 40’s/ Early 50’s
Female - Mid/ Late 40’s
Male - Mid/ Late 60’s (French accent)
Experience in devising and/or period drama would be an advantage but not essential.
Dates of engagement are the weeks August 11th to 15th and September 8th to 12th. Possibility of additional dates from September 22nd to 26th.
Conditions.
Actor’s will be paid €100 per half day (3hrs) and €180 per full day (6hrs). It is expected each actor will be required for a minimum of 2 days.
